Foo Fighters were joined by Shane Hawkins, son of late band member, Taylor Hawkins on Friday night (5-26), at the Boston Calling festival.

In an emotional moment, lead singer, Dave Grohl described the teenager as, “one of my favorite drummers in the world.”

Hawkins performed on the song, “I’ll Stick Around.” He had previously played on “My Hero” at his dad’s tribute concert at Wembley Stadium last fall.

In a proud dad moment, Grohl, brought out his 17-year-old daughter Violet Grohl to sing “Show Me How.” She also performed earlier in the week at the New Hampshire concert.

Boston was the 2nd show of the band’s comeback tour. They came off the road last year, following the death of drummer, Taylor Hawkins.
