Eight Unheard Bowie Records to Be Released

Eight unheard David Bowie albums are set to be released in the coming months.

Bowie is said to have prepared these records to be release posthumously. Two reissues have been announced for next month – 1971’s compilation ChangestoBowie will go back into print on April 13th, followed by an April 20th reissue of Aladdin Sane.

A trio of Bowie records will be released for Record Store Day 2018 on April 21st. They include Welcome to the Blackout (Live London ’78), a 12-inch single featuring the first-full length version of “Let’s Dance”, and Bowie Now, a rare US only promotional-only LP from 1977, which is receiving its first-ever commercial release.

The Brooklyn Museum will be selling exclusive Bowie vinyl to coincide with the opening of the David Bowie Is exhibit. A 7-inch re-issue of Bowie’s 1973 single “Time”/”The Prettiest Star”, a mini-LP dubbed Live in Berlin (1978), and a vinyl reissue of Bowie’s 2008 compilation, iSelect will be available exclusively at the exhibit gift shop until July 15th.
