Bucky

Do you love beagles? Have you owned one before? Bucky may be the lad for you! If you’ve never owned one that is okay, please ensure you have done your research into this breed before meeting him. He is an upbeat boy that loves his toys and gets excited when he plays. He is a soft and quiet boy but can become loud and nervous in new surroundings. Once you have gained his trust he will be a social butterfly with most human companions and loves the attention too! He is looking for a companion that will ensure he gets the adequate exercise to prevent boredom. He tolerates other dogs as long as they are well socialized. He may enjoy the dog park but only if he is slowly introduced to one. There is lots of room for improvement and could, with proper socialization and training be okay with going to the dog park. Buck is hoping for a mature household where there are no children under the age of 12 to be her forever home as she can show guarding behaviour towards food and ‘stolen’ items. With proper training this can be managed to prevent it from progressing into a major issue. We recommend highly that Buck is separated at time of dinner. Since Buck is still young, he will benefit greatly from obedience training. He does already know ‘sit’ and would definitely love to learn more. If you have the time, experience, and patience for this laidback boy the drop by the shelter to meet this fella!
