The BBC is marking the 30th anniversary of the death of Kurt Cobain with a new documentary.

Kurt Cobain: Moments That Shook Music aims to “demystify the tragic moment when the Nirvana frontman took his own life”.

It includes “powerful and unseen archive footage” including video shot by local fans and raw material from local news crews.

The doc will premiere this Saturday on BBC Two, as part of a special day of Nirvana-related programming.  It’s not clear when it might be available to view or stream in the U.S.

Cobain was found dead by suicide on April 5th, 1994.
