In 1993, the MTV Music Video of the Year was won by Pearl Jam’s song Jeremy. Based off of true events, the song and music video both tell the story of a young man bullied in school who decides to shoot himself in front of his class.

 

The original video had scenes censored from it that Pearl Jam has now included in the re-release and updated version. They chose to do this on Friday to mark National Gun Awareness Day.
