BC Murder Suspects Found

It appears as though the manhunt for two BC murder suspects is finally over.

Two bodies were discovered yesterday near the Nelson River in Manitoba and police believe they’re the bodies of Bryer Schmegelsky and Kam McLeod.

The two teenagers have been on the run for over a week and are suspected of killing three people in Northern British Columbia.

Autopsies are scheduled for today to confirm identities and cause of death.


Kingston Police Sexual Assault

A trial date has been set for a Kingston police officer facing sexual assault charges.

Late last year, Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit charged Const. Peter Shaun Trafford with one count of sexual assault.

The charge stemmed from a 2017 complaint which was “sexual in nature”

Trafford’s trial is set for March 23, 2020.

Parties near Queen’s and major criminal investigations are partly to blame for the overage



Single-use plastics may start to disappear from city-owned facilities in Kingston if a new policy is endorsed by council.

The city’s environment, infrastructure and transportation policies-committee is considering removing plastic straws and other single-use plastic items from the Grand Theatre and the Invista Centre by the middle of next year

The policy is still awaiting approval.
