Third Eye Blind have announced their first new album in four years. The album, entitled Screamer, arrives October 18 and features many acts including Alexis Krauss of Sleigh Bells, Ryan Olson of Marijuana Death Squad and Poliça and none other than Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan, whom they call the album’s “musical consigliere”.

The album’s collaborations mark the first time the band has worked with outside artists. Frontman Stephan Jenkins said in an interview that the band adopted “an open door policy” with the album.

“My current mood resonates with rebellion, energy, courage, and risk,” said Jenkins in a statement. “I seek to combine it with a percussive level of musical immediacy in this collection of songs to cultivate collective idealism and an unapologetic aspiration towards humanistic values.”
