Bad news for fans of Better Call Saul – the show is taking a year off.

Last week, AMC President Sarah Barnett announced that the show will be taking a hiatus before returning for their fifth season in 2020. Which makes sense, since creator Vince Gilligan has been hard at work on the Breaking Bad movie for Netflix.

The big question is how many more season of Better Call Saul can be expected. Breaking Bad finished after five seasons, so it would make sense for Saul to follow suit. Barnett hinted at that saying, “Well, we know clearly the end was already written before the beginning began,” she joked. “The writers, they have a very particular, very clear sense of the arc of their show.” She then dded, “We’re certainly getting closer to it.”
