The rumours were true – the legendary Woodstock festival will return this summer!

The festival will celebrate its 50th anniversary in Watkins Glen, New York from August 16-18. Specific line up details won’t be announced until tickets go on sale in Feburary, but festival co-creator Micheal Lang says to expect big names and a lot of different genres from over 40 performers.

“It’ll be an eclectic bill. It’ll be hip-hop and rock and some pop and some of the legacy bands from the original festival,” Lang told Rolling Stone.

Dell Furano, the man in charge of Woodstock’s merchandise for the past 15 years, said that there’s something for everyone.

“There’s every type of tie-dye. Children’s products. Dog products. Speakers, wine, cannabis. The appeal is multigenerational.”
