RANDY

Meet sweet Randy! After arriving to the shelter as a stray, poor Randy wasn’t sure who to trust and was terrified of all the new sights, sounds and people that were around. He is terrified of the outside world but with lots of love, affection, and patience he will become a fantastic companion for those in a mature home and an owner with small dog experience. Randy does require a harness due to inexperience of a leash and the busy outdoors. He’d enjoy laying around the house, especially on his companion’s lap where he feels safe. With the patience of our animal care staff, Randy is coming around in his own time. He is quite wary of strangers still and needs time to introduce himself to you in his own calm and slow style. He would do best in a home where he can take his time settling into a new place approaching new people at his own pace. He is a quirky fella with a stubborn personality that goes perfectly with his crooked dental profile. Randy did receive dental surgery with us (having 5 teeth extracted along with 6 missing = 11 fewer teeth) but he could still need more dental care in the future. Potential adopters should be aware that their vet will most likely recommend X-rays at some point to ensure that he won’t need any dental surgery in the near future. His dental roots are quirky like him- twisty and hook-like. Randy does qualify for our Special Needs adoption program due to his crazy dental make up, which means his adoption fee is reduced. Are you up for a challenge and will work with this handsome lad to have him gain his confidence back? Drop by the shelter to meet this little boy with a big personality.
