Liver Transplant – Kingston

The man who donated part of his liver to one of the Kingston twins who had a genetic disorder last year is joining with their family to create a non-profit organization.

Kris Chung has joined forces with the Wagner family to create Twins for Hope…an organization to help impoverished children in Vietnam.  Chung’s father is from Vietnam and the twins were adopted from Vietnam.  Chung is a 21 year old student at the Royal Military College in Kingston.

He donated part of his liver to Binh Wagner.  Her father was able to donate part of his liver to her sister Phuoc.  The twins have recovered and are now living a normal life after suffering from a serious genetic disorder.

Downtown streets will be closed for the Poker Run and The Tragically Hip show on Saturday night.

The city is providing fee bus service on all routes tomorrow with 15 minute express service running until 2:30 Sunday morning.
