So, if you’ve landed on this page… you’re like 3-4 clicks into the website and just so you know, there are pages where you can win free stuff.  Just sayin’

E-Mail: darryl@krock1057.ca

I’ve been in radio for a little over a decade.  Started in Timmins, then worked in Toronto for almost 5 years, then Hamilton and have now landed safely in the Limestone City.
Kingston is such a great city to live and work in.  It has everything you could possibly need, a great vibrant downtown and no traffic!  I know Princess can get a little backed up from time to time… But compared to DVP, Gardiner and QEW I’ll take it!

I’ve always worked at a rock station for my entire career, which is what I love! I couldn’t imagine introducing a Lady Gaga tune and trying to not sound repulsed by it.

My favourite bands are The Clash, Queens of The Stone Age, Anything with Dave Grohl, Anything with Jack White, The Hip, AC/DC and Zeppelin.
The following statements about me are true…
-    I enjoy the majority of beers served in a green bottle
-    HUGE Leaf fan
-    Avid water skier… Rookie Wake Surfer
-    I own an above average number of Adidas shell toes
-    I’m a dog person and a Star Wars nerd…  So my (soon to be)wife and I have a dog named Wicket

Catch me weeknights from 7pm-11pm and drop me a line anytime at darryl@krock1057.ca

Sound City hits 100,000 in sales

Posted on by bilal.shirazi

Sound City, the documentary directed by Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl about a legendary Los Angeles studio where many of rock’s greatest albums were recorded, has been certified gold for sales of more than 50,000 copies of the film on Blu-ray and DVD. The movie has actually sold more than 100,000 copies in the U.S., with fully half of those in digital form.
Grohl conceived of the project after buying the historic Neve 8028 analog recording console from the now-defunct Sound City studio in Van Nuys, California. The board was built in 1972 and was used to record albums by Neil Young, Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty, Cheap Trick, Guns N’ Roses, Nirvana, Rage Against The Machine, Slipknot, Nine Inch Nails, Metallica and countless others over the past 40 years
