6th Annual Golf for the Fonz Tournament
July 31
Support the Gananoque & District Humane Society while having fun.
Marking its 6th year this tournament is returning the the original course, the Gananoque Golf & Country Club and is sure to be fun. The event is open to anyone and no experience is required as score is not kept in the traditional sense for this tournament.The fun kicks off at 1pm with the cost being $40/person and this includes 9 holes of golf, a steak dinner, souvenir and donation to the Gananoque Humane Society, a no kill facility.
Greek Festival
July 31
Experience the Greek Festival on the 31 July from 10 am to 1 am at the Hellenic Banquet Hall 121 Johnson Street.
The fest features great food, music and dance. The church will be open for display along with an arts and crafts table to showcase Greek culture and history. Guests throughout the day have an opportunity to purchase delicious sovlaki meals and to top off their meal or snack delectable desserts of baklava and loukomades. Stay a while and have a drink with us while we feature some great entertainment. There is no entrance fee to attend. Our motto is "Come live a day the Greek way."
Golf with Rolf
August 7, Westbrook Golf Club
Get ready for the green with the “Golf with Rolf” best ball golf tournament in support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada. The fun starts on Saturday August 7th, at the Westbrook Golf Club located at 3651 Genge Road, in Kingston. Registration begins at noon (day of) with a shot gun tee-off time at 12:30pm.
After the day on the course enjoy live music featuring Michael George and dinner with great prizes to be won!
Only $75 per golfer; includes 18 holes of golf, 1 cart for every 2 golfers, dinner, awards, prizes and entertainment
$40 for dinner and entertainment.

Sheep Dog Trials
August 6, 7 & 8, Grass Creek Park
Mark your calendar for Friday, August 6, Saturday, August 7 and Sunday, August 8 and join us for the Kingston Sheep Dog Trials at Grass Creek Park (on Highway 2 between Kingston and Gananoque). The trials run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
Over 100 of North America's top trial competitors will participate in the Kingston Sheep Dog Trial, the third largest trial in North America. Admission is $10 a day or $25 for a three day pass. Kids ten and under are free. There's plenty of free on-site parking for those who are driving. Trials' food vendors offer BBQ, baked goods, kettle corn and cotton candy will also be onsite.
Visitors can also look forward to a variety of interactive side attractions, along with our popular craft and artisans fair, ongoing sheep shearing demonstrations, spinning and craft demonstrations, a Sheep to Shawl competition, dog training seminars, a children's play area, pony rides, a petting zoo and so much more, this festival is one that you won't want to miss.

Sears National Kids Cancer Ride

Imagine 36 cyclist, 7,000 kms in 15 days raising funds for Childhood cancer research and programs within the C17 (shared among the 17 oncology units across Canada). The Sears National Kids Cancer Ride is one of the biggest and most ambitious charity cycling events on behalf of childhood cancer in the world. From September 9th to 23rd, cyclists will ride a 15-day, 7,000 km trans-Canada odyssey from Vancouver to Halifax. 43 selected
National Riders will traverse the country, joined along the way by thousands of other caring cyclists who cycled shorter distances along the way in cities across Canada.
