Since April, the Kingston Police have been investigating more than 200 thefts from vehicles; occurring in locations throughout the city.  In many cases, the thief or thieves broke windows to get to the valuable items left inside.

Taken are cell phones, wallets, purses, laptop computers and MP3 players such as iPods, all of which are favourite target items and should never be left in plain sight inside a vehicle.

In some cases, vehicles have been vandalized even though nothing was stolen.
