Road Krew/Remote Technician, K-Rock 105.7, Country 93.5, KiSS 102.7

Rogers Radio Kingston is seeking a Road Krew member + remote technician who is able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.  Reporting to the Promotions Director in Kingston ON, this individual needs to demonstrate a high level of technical understanding of remote broadcast equipment, as well as a willingness to engage listeners, clients, and the general public at station events. The Road Krew position runs between Victoria Day Weekend and Thanksgiving weekend, with the remote technician position running year around as needed.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Execute station events and on-site promotions.
  • Co-ordinate & execute on-air contests and promotions.
  • Record and track winner information
  • Write and record cut-ins, using client information provided
  • Maintain cleanliness of station vehicle(s)
  • Prepare weekly schedule of events/locations
  • Emcee events as required
  • Set up remotes and/or promotional events with all required components (prizing, staff, vehicle and signage).
  • Maintain promotional signage, draw boxes, entry forms and equipment including station vehicles.
  • Attend all major station promotions and designated client promotions as needed.
  • Attend and participate in weekly meetings as required.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum one year radio experience is an asset.
  • On-air/voice tracking experience an asset.
  • Public Relations student/graduate an asset.
  • Experience in marketing an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, team player with a positive attitude and a strong desire and passion to succeed.
  • Ability to work well under minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Excellent writing and comprehension skills.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Excellent knowledge and effective use of Social Media
  • Excellent knowledge of Apple products including iPhones
  • Must hold a valid class G driver’s license
  • Experience with video and audio editing software such as Adobe Creative suite and Final Cut Pro is an assett
