Teddy Bear Campaign

The annual KGH Auxiliary Teddy Bear Campaign is raising money for a new exam bed and two large-sized cribs for the pediatric department.  People can sponsor a teddy bear for $100.  The bears decorate Christmas trees and at the end of the campaign they’re given to children being treated in the hospital.

Tara McCallan of Kingston helped kickoff the campaign yesterday.  She says her daughter Pip lit up when she received one of the bears.  Pip has undergone ten surgeries at the hospital and is the poster child for the campaign this year.  McCallan says the teddy bear campaign also inspired her to start her own organization called Happy Soul Project.
