Taylor Hall – Ball Hockey Tournament

Kingston NHL star Taylor Hall says he loves giving back to the Boys and Girls Club because he spent a lot of time there when he was growing up.

Hall is promoting his annual charity ball hockey tournament that’s taking place on Saturday to raise money for the Boys and Girls Club.

Hall has recruited Connor McDavid, Doug Gilmour and many others to take part at the Metro parking lot on the corner of Princess and Barrie Streets.

Crosswalks

Kingston is finally getting real crosswalks where vehicles have to stop for pedestrians.  The city says a change in provincial regulations means ten courtesy crossings will be converted to full crosswalks starting with two this fall.  The crossings on King Street near Kingston General Hospital and Rideau Street at Rideaucrest Home will have pedestrian-activated, flashing amber lights and new signage in September.  The rest of the courtesy crossings will be converted to full crosswalks where vehicles have to stop for pedestrians in the next two years.
